Abstract
Ship Safety Certificate is a certificate issued by the Directorate General of Sea Transportation for ships that have met the requirements for material, construction, building, machinery and electricity, stability, layout and equipment including radio and ship electronics based on the results of tests and inspections by a Surveyor who in this is a Marine Inspector (Directorate General of Sea Transportation, 2018). Regarding Ship Safety Certificates, it is also regulated in the Minister of Transportation Regulation Number PM 57 of 2021 concerning Procedures for Inspection, Testing and Certification of Ship Safety ("PM Hub 57/2021"). PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Persero), which is usually called PT Pelni, is a state- owned business entity that operates in the field of passenger and goods shipping. In carrying out its duties, the state-owned shipping company has an obligation to prioritize service quality in sailing. According to Article 207 paragraph (1) of the Shipping Law, the government, in this case the Minister, appoints an official with the authority to carry out, supervise and guarantee the safety and security of shipping, namely the Harbor Master. In implementing the ship document extension process, sometimes there are problems, namely the admin has difficulty in managing the data. ship certificate documents include searching for detailed ship certificate data and updating ship certificate data, there is a lack of workers to handle the ship certificate renewal process. If this is not handled immediately, it will hamper the smooth operation of the ship, and will result in losses, the company will be subject to fines or fines, and will also affect the progress of the project.
