Abstract

The high-pressure fuel pump is a device for pressing fuel into the fuel mistress. The pump sprays fuel into the cylinder through the holes until combustion occurs in the cylinder. High-pressure fuel pumps also suffer from common problems such as wear and tear. The plunger also has problems with the fuel system. The purpose of this paper is to find out how to optimize treatment. Damage to the high-pressure fuel pump. Another objective is to determine the effect of the optimal fuel pump. The method used in this observation is the method of observation (observation). Apart from using this method the writer also uses the interview method (interview). And also using the library method. From the observations made by the author, it is found that the effect resulting from the optimal maintenance and repair of high-pressure fuel pumps is that the work system of the main engine is more perfect and can extend the service life of the main engine. Therefore fuel pump maintenance is useful for the smooth operation of the main engine. Good operation and maintenance of the fuel pump will make for optimal engine performance. This is because the fuel pump is one of the most important parts of the engine component in the main engine as a support for the smooth running of the ship. The results of observations on KTI are that routine maintenance is required on the fresh material pump so that the pump can work properly.
