Abstract
The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to explain about improving the maintenance of the ship’s deck and preventing rust, especially in KN.SAR SADEWA 231. The meused in data collection are observation methods, interview methods, and library research methods. The result of the discussion of this paper are three, namely about the cleaning of the deck that is not suitable. The solution is to re-clean with fresh water after cleaning the ship’s deck. Lack of awareness of crew members in maintaining the ship’s deck. The solution is to provide direct guidance from the master on the importance of maintaining the ship’s deck. Lack of facilities and infrastructure in cleaning the ship’s deck. The solution is to purpose additional facilities and infrastructure for the maintenance of the ship’s deck. The conclusion of this papper is importance of using fresh water when cleaning the ship’s deck, the importance of knowledge of crew members in ships maintenance and the importance of supporting facilities and infrastructure in ship’s maintenance.
