Abstract
Indonesia's geographical situation is that it is a country that has abundant natural wealth and its distribution is uneven. This is the emergence of competition in the shipping sector, in improving the quality of service to be carried out as optimally as possible for service users in the service sector. In the field of Ship Arrival and Departure services using the Inaportnet system, problems often occur, such as: Frequent problems with the Inaportnet system, slow document collection, lengthy service from related parties, late notification from shipping companies to loading and unloading companies. Sea transportation is very important because it is considered more economical and can carry large amounts of cargo on a shipping trip from one island to another. In connection with the increasing flow of goods to port areas, shipping companies are opening new agents at each port to handle non-owned vessels. The aim of this paper is to find out how arrival and departure services are carried out using the inaportnet system, documents, related parties, and how loading and unloading is planned. In collecting data, the author used observation, interviews, document study and literature study methods. From the results of the writing, it is concluded that applying for Agency Services Using the Inaportnet System no longer uses the manual method as before, but instead uses the Inaportnet System which makes it easier for shipping companies to become agents, because agents do not always have to be at the harbormaster or other related agencies to carry out clearance in /out ship. However, the entire system uses an internet portal (online) which can be accessed at each office. Which is controlled directly by the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia. In becoming an agent for the shipping company PT. Meridian Agensi Indonesia also has the obligation to re-check ship documents and ship crew documents.
