Abstract

Tankers are ships that carry bulk cargo. The cargo in Chemical Tanker ships is very easily contaminated, therefore it is necessary to apply standard operating procedures on Tanker ships to maintain the quality of the cargo. Implementation of tank cleaning that is not in accordance with applicable procedures will result in frequent delays. This delay causes a claim by the charterer. To prevent this from happening, it is necessary to prepare clean, dry and free gas cargo tanks and pipe lines on board the ship. Based on this description it is very necessary to pay attention to ship maintenance procedures, especially in preparing cargo tanks. The research method used is quantitative descriptive analysis by testing the validity, reliability, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing and the coefficient of determination. The classic assumption test itself is carried out through the normality test, collinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, autocorrelation test. The number of respondents was 35 people. The results of the linear regression coefficient analysis illustrate that the tank maintenance equipment, tank maintenance equipment variables and tank maintenance management have a positive influence on the smoothness of loading and unloading. Keywords: Loading-unloading, tankers, tank maintenance
