Abstract
The aim of this research is to find out how the ship berthing process occurs if problems occur during the PT ship berthing process. Adhiguna Ark This research was conducted at PT. Adhi Guna Putera, as a cadet, carried out land practice for 06 months, starting from August 2023 to February 2024. The method used in this research is a descriptive method, namely finding facts with appropriate interpretation. Data collection techniques in this research are interviews, observation, literature study and documentation study. The results of this observation are, (1) The role of ship berthing activities at PT. In general, Adhi Guna Putera is preparation before the ship arrives, preparing for the ship's departure, and after the ship departs. (2) The causes of errors made during the ship docking process are cancellation of documents that have been submitted, re-submission of arrival plans, lack of agency staff, unfavorable weather conditions. (3) Efforts to improve service for customer satisfaction include good communication between the agent and the ship, good coordination between the agent and all parties.
