Abstract
The main problem in writing this paper is regarding the Supervision of Safety, Security and Order of Passengers at KMP. Musthika Kencana by PT. Dharma Lautan Utama of the Merak Branch. There are several background problems that the author must solve, namely how to carry out the supervision of PT. Dharma Lautan Utama to realize the safety, security and orderliness of passengers, who are the parties involved, and what are the obstacles in supervising the safety, security and order of passengers on board. PT. Dharma Lautan Utama is a shipping company that serves sea transportation and ferry crossings throughout Indonesia which really needs supervision of safety, security and order for passengers and the operation of ships to run optimally. In order to realize the safety, security and orderliness of passengers on board, PT. Dharma Lautan Utama must equip safety devices, navigation tools, and communication tools that are usable and well maintained according to Solas (Safety Of Life At Sea) Reg. 20 point 8.1 where safety equipment that has a certificate must be carried out annual service. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out how the supervision of the safety, security and orderliness of passengers on board is carried out, to find out who are the parties involved, and what are the obstacles in supervising the safety, security and orderliness of passengers on board. Based on the data collection carried out during the research, the authors used several methods, namely observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The result of the discussion of this paper is the realization of oversight of passenger safety, security and order at KMP. Musthika Kencana occurs from each party that it is important to prioritize safety on board and comply with established regulatory procedures.
