Abstract
The main topic of discussion in writing this paper is the operation and maintenance of the Water Canon on the state ship SAR Permadi 249. The background of the problem in this paper is the working system of the Water Canon, operating factors and maintenance systems. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out how to operate and maintain the Water Canon on the State Ship SAR Permadi according to applicable procedures. The process of collecting data to support the contents of this paper, the authors use several methods. The author uses primary and secondary data. The author's data collection method uses interviews (wawancara), library research (studi pustaka), and observations (observasi). The results of the discussion of this paper are knowing the stages of activating the machine before carrying out the operation and maintenance of the Water Canon which is carried out routinely according to the procedure. The conclusion of making this paper is to inform how maintenance is carried out in accordance with planning and scheduling and knowledge of how to operate a Water Canon which is justified by supporting theoretical foundations accompanied by the application of work safety. The definition of a fire pump is that part of the water supply of a fire sprinkler system that is powered by electricity, diesel or steam. The pump is connected to the static water source pipe contained in the water tank. The pump provides water flow at higher pressure to the sprinkler system riser and hose standpipe. Fire pumps are tested and registered for use specifically for fire service by a third party testing and listing agency. The fire pump starts when the pressure in the fire sprinkler system drops below a threshold. Sprinkler system pressure drops significantly when one or more sprinklers are exposed to heat above their design temperature and open releasing water.
