Abstract
Traffic Safety is a driving effort where more attention is paid to the safety of motorists and other road users which is done to reduce accidents and the consequences of traffic accidents. Jalan Pekauman is located in Pekauman sub- district in the center of Kendal City. This study aims to determine vehicle conditions, road conditions and driver behavior towards the safety of motorcycle rider traffic along the Pekauman road of Kendal Regency. The population in this study was motorcyclists on the Pekauman road of Kendal Regency and the sample used in this study was 95 respondents. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling incidental sampling type, then the data is analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of (software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) Version 26. The formulation of regression in this study is as follows: Y = 0.904 + 0.368X1 + 0.190X2 + 0.352X3 + μ From this equation, it is known that the most dominant variable affecting traffic safety is the driver behavior variable with a regression coefficient of 0.3 68. Test R 2 (R Square) obtained results of 0.561 or 56.1% which means that traffic safety is influenced by variables of vehicle conditions, road conditions and driver behavior which is 56.1% and other factors that affects traffic safety on Pekauman roads, Kendal Regency which is 43.9%. Keywords: traffic safety, vehicle condition , road condition and motorist behavior
