Abstract
The main discussion in writing this paper focuses on the embarkation process carried out by PT. PELNI Denpasar Bali Branch. The background of the problem that will be raised by the author in this paper is how the process is carried out in carrying out the embarkation using the departure control system. PT. PELNI is an Indonesian state-owned company engaged in the field of passenger and goods shipping. The purpose of this writing is to find out how the procedures for embarkation activities use the departure control system, and who are the parties involved in these activities. The data collection method used in writing this paper is a qualitative method and uses data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and literature studies. as well as documentation studies related to embarkation activities using a departure control system. In the NPTS (New Pelni Ticketing System) system, there is a Departure control system (DCS). The main function of the Departure Control System (DCS) is to process the check-in tickets for passengers who will board the ship that day. Where in this system can reduce / prevent fraud that often occurs against prospective passengers, which can be detrimental to the prospective passengers themselves. Where in the Departure control system (DCS) process check-in tickets are carried out at the Departure control system (DCS) check-in counter, namely by means of a barcoding system, with the Departure Control System (DCS) this has an influence that can help candidates passengers who want to go on a ship in particular, as for the effects such as being able to help prospective passengers to buy tickets without going through an intermediary/administrator (person), to avoid cheating from tickets that are not eligible, payment for a bed/seat on the ship KEYWORDS : Embarkation, Departure Controll system, Ticket, Documents, Passenger, Ship.Port.
