Abstract

A traffic accident is an incident in which a motorized vehicle collides with another object and causes damage. Sometimes these accidents can result in human injury or death. On Jalan Lawu-Karanganyar there are many roads that were damaged, ranging from mild to severe damage. This road damage is caused by several factors, including the fact that it is frequently passed by heavy vehicles such as trucks, buses and other heavy vehicles. This study aims to determine the effect of road conditions, human error and vehicle conditions on traffic accidents. The population in this study were motorbike riders who passed the Lawu-Karanganyar road and the sample used in this study was 100 respondents. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling, incidental sampling type, then the data was analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of (software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) Version 26. The regression formulation in this research is as follows: Y= 0,733 + 0,333 X1 + 0,203 X2 + 0,385 X3 + µ From this equation it is known that the most dominant variable influencing Passenger Safety is the vehicle condition variable with a regression coefficient of 0.385, then in second place is the road condition variable with a regression coefficient of 0.333 and the last is the human error variable with a regression coefficient of 0.203. For the Hypothesis Test, each tcount is greater than ttable 1.98447, and the significant value of each independent variable is less than 0.05. The R2 test (R square) obtained a result of 0.561 or 56.1%, which means that traffic accidents are influenced by road condition variables, human error and vehicle condition, namely 56.1% and other factors that affect traffic accidents, namely 43.9%. . The rest is influenced by other variables not examined, for example understanding of traffic, traffic safety and so on. Keywords: Traffic Accidents, Road Conditions, Human Error and Vehicle Conditions
