Abstract

Transportation is an aspect of the economy that has a very large influence. The growing economy towards globalization requires some people to exercise very high mobility, so that people will be more observant in making their choices. Many transportation companies offer and try to win consumer interest in using the products and or services offered by a transportation company. This is because the quality of services depends on who and how the services are provided. One of the modes of sea transportation in Indonesia is ships. Along with the increasing need for public transportation, competition among ship companies is getting tougher. Companies are required to mobilize all of their resources to meet the needs of customers and prospective customers. This study aims to determine the effect of Facilities, Ticket Prices, Brand Image, and Convenience on Passenger Interests. The population in this study were passengers on the dharma rucitra 9 ship in Semarang and the number of samples used in this study was 100 respondents. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling of the incidental sampling type, then the data was analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of the Statistic Package For Social Science (SPSS) Version 21 and 26 application. The formulation of the regression in this study is as follows : Y = 2,743 + 0,400X1 + 0,065X2 + 0,309X3 + µ From this equation it is known that the most dominant variable influencing service user satisfaction is ticket prices with a regression coefficient of 0.802. The R test (R Square) obtained a result of 0.851 or 85.1% which means that passenger interest is influenced by the variable facilities, ticket prices, brand image, and convenience which is equal to 85.1% and other factors that influence passenger interest namely 14.9 %.
