Abstract
The main topic of discussion in writing this paper is the optimization process when carrying out guard duty at KN PATROLI 330 Batam. The background of the problem in this paper is the optimization process when carrying out ship guard services. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out how the optimized the implementation out guard duty at KN PATROLI 330 according to applicable procedures. The process of collecting data to support the contents of this paper, the authors use several methods. The author uses primary and secondary data. The author's data collection method uses interviews, library research, and observations. The result of the discussion of this paper is to find out the compositions of the guard service on ships which are carried out routinely according to the procedure. The conclusion of making this paper is to tell how the guard service arrangements are carried out in accordance with the planning, scheduling and knowledge of the guard duty arrangements on the ship. Get to know the duties and responsibilities on the ship properly and correctly so that there are no mistakes when operating the ship. Understand every arrangement of the guard service so that you understand and understand the guard service procedures that have been prepared by the ship's captain. Explain the meaning of the Watch Service and understand every arrangement of the Watch Service on the ship which is useful for helping the performance of the Watch Service when the ship is operating.
