Abstract

Traffic safety is a condition where a vehicle is protected from the risk of accidents during traffic caused by humans, vehicles, roads and/or the environment in order to create a condition where we are at a point where we are not endangering other drivers and are aware of possible dangers that could be detrimental. others. This research aims to determine the influence of road markings, traffic signs, road conditions and driver behavior on traffic safety on the Yogyakarta North Ringroad. The population in this study were motorists who crossed the North Ringroad road and the sample used in this study was 100 respondents. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling, incidental sampling type, then the data was analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of (software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) Version 25. The regression formulation in this research is as follows: Y = -1,735 + 0,335X1 + 0,291X2 + 0,256X3 + 0,247X4 + µ From this equation it is known that the most dominant variable influencing traffic safety is the vehicle condition variable with a regression coefficient of 0.335. The R2 test (R square) obtained a result of 0.619 or 61.9%, which means that Traffic Safety is influenced by the variables Road Markings, Traffic Signs, Road Conditions and Driver Behavior, namely 69.9% and other factors that influence Traffic Safety On the North Ringroad Road in Yogyakarta, it is 38.1%. Keywords: traffic safety, road markings, traffic signs, road conditions, driver behavior
