Abstract

The problems that the author decided include the loading and unloading of containers by pt.rimo transport expressindo at the port of Tanjung Emas Semarang. The issues raised have a purpose. The purpose of this observation is to find out theprocedures for handling container loading and unloading. Using qualitative methods and the collection of observational data, interviews or literature studies that the authors collected can be concluded that the unloading of goods from ship to dock / barge / truck or loading of goods from dock / barge / truck to ship until itis arranged in the ship's hatch using a ship crane or land crane. Loading and unloading activities are carried out at the port or loading and unloading terminal of goods. The purpose of container loading and unloading activities is veryimportant, namely to encourage the achievement of national and equitable logisticsintegration both in urban and rural areas. In order to realize the integration of national logistics, it is expected that all logistics activities throughout Indonesia, both between regions and between islands, can operate effectively and efficiently and become a nationally integrated unit within the territory of the Indonesian state. From the observations, it can be concluded that the procedure for handling container loading and unloading activities must be supported by a clear and quality process. With a clear and uncomplicated process, you can control the loading and unloading work system so that it takes place effectively and efficiently so that common goals can be realized.
