Abstract

Waiting time (waiting time) for the ship is the amount of time the ship has taken since submitting a mooring application after arriving at the anchoring location until the ship moves towards the berth until it arrives at the berth. Indonesia has many ports scattered in all directions in Indonesia making Indonesia an archipelagic country that has an important role in trade, Indonesia optimizes sea transportation as a media liaison with other countries. This study aims to determine the effect of Ship In/Out Clearance, Service Guide, and Loading and Unloading against Ship Waiting Time (waiting time) at Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang. The population in this study was the number of ships arriving at Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang and the sample used in this study was 80 respondents. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling of the quota sampling type and then the data was analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of (software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) Version 26. The formulation of the regression in this study is as follows: Y = 0.792 + 0.344 X1 + 0.190 X2 + 0.315 X3 + µ From this equation it is known that the variable that most dominantly influences the waiting time is the variable Clearance In/Out of the Ship with a regression coefficient of 0.344. The R2 test (R Square) obtained a result of 0.659 or 65.9% which means that the Waiting Time (waiting time) of the Ship is influenced by the variable Clearance In/Out of the Ship, Pilot Service and Loading and Unloading which is equal to 65.9% and other factors that affect the Waiting Time (waiting time) of the Ship that is equal to 34.1%. The conclusion in this research is that the independent variables Ship In/Out Clearance, Guide Service, and Loading and Unloading have a positive and significant influence on ship waiting time at Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang. Keywords: ship waiting time, ship in/out clearance, pilot service, loading and unloading
