Abstract

International trade is an important aspect of the world economy. In international trade, export-import activities are one of the most important factors for increasing economic growth. Import is the activity of entering goods into the customs area. During the import process, many parties are involved, one of which is Customs. Customs and Excise has the duty to control and export and import shipping. In the import process, Customs and Excise has the authority to inspect goods/track the release of imported goods. If the goods receive a SPJM (Red Line Notification Letter) response from Customs, it means that the goods must be checked physically and related documents. Therefore writing this scientific paper aims to find out how the flow of the process for releasing imported goods, what documents are related to the process for releasing imported goods, the parties involved in the process for releasing imported goods and where are the important roles of the Customs Service Management Company (PPJK) ) in the import process. This observation was carried out at the Customs Services Management Company (PPJK) PT. Ramajaya Logistik Indonesia in Semarang. The types of data used in this observation are qualitative data and quantitative data. While the data sources used are primary and secondary data. Data collection methods used are interviews, observations, document studies and library studies. The results of the interviews are used to find out what happened in the field and answer the formulation of the problem. The observations concluded that there were many documents that had to be completed in this import process, there were documents that had to be prepared by the importer and documents that had to be processed by the PPJK. Related parties are divided into 2, namely government agencies and private agencies, both parties are involved in this import process. And the role of PPJK Company PT. Ramajaya Logistics Indonesia, namely as the proxy of the importer. Keywords: Process, import, PPJK Company.
