Abstract
The function of the Sea Trial is not only to ensure that the ship complies with the technical specification, but the Sea Trial is also carried out to ensure that all systems installed on a ship, starting from those that are technical in nature and related to the safety of people on board, are ready to use and ready to operate properly. In this case it is the main task and function of the ship safety inspector officer, especially in the Tanjung Emas Port area, Semarang, after testing the ship along with the documents that have been inspected and deemed seaworthy, the ship and crew can sail. The purpose of this writing is to find out how the testing process on ships is carried out by ship safety inspectors. The data collection techniques used are observation, documentation and literature studies so that they can be analyzed and conclusions drawn, the results of observations carried out at the Kantor Kesyahbandaran dan Otoritas Pelabuhan Kelas 1 Tanjung Emas Semarang has carried out according to applicable standards and competitions to realize the safety of ships.
