Abstract
As an archipelagic country, where the sea area is more dominant than the land area, it is natural that the development and regulation of sea transportation needs to receive great attention, so as to support the smooth operation of sea transportation, one of which includes loading and unloading activities. Loading and unloading activities are one of the important components in loading and unloading service providers. In handling coils unloading at Karakatau Bandar Samudera Port, Cilegon, there are often problems that arise, including errors on ship cranes, the lack of a fleet of trucks, Tallyman's lack of accuracy in Recording in the Tally Report, and also the rain factor which causes the unloading process to take a long time. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out and explain the activities of the implementation flow in handling coils unloading, what documents must be prepared by loading and unloading companies, and what factors hinder the implementation of coils unloading handling. The method used in writing this paper uses the method of observation, interviews, and literature. In this case collecting data in the form of data on the object of observation, as well as collection of documents and data related to loading and unloading activities. The conclusion of this discussion is that the loading and unloading company plays a very important role in the implementation of the transportation of goods by sea and is always concerned with the smoothness and safety of the cargo to the destination.
