Abstract

Unproductive ship time (idel time) is influenced by several factors including human error, engines, and natural conditons. Of the three, it has an influence on idle time with satisfactory results. The purpose of this study is to determine whether or not there is an influence of human error, engines, natural conditions on the idle time of ships in Tanjung Perak Harbor, Surabaya. In this study, the study population was the crew of ships whose ships docked or docked at Tanjung Perak Port Surabaya with a sampling system with a total of 100 respondents. The variables in the study consist of: Independent variables on the influence of human error (X.1), engine (X.2), and natural conditions (X.3) as well as related variables, namely unproductive ship time (idel time) (Y). The research model is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis with the statistical tools of the SPSS V.26 program obtained multiple linear regression equations Y = 1.695 + 0.290 X1 - 0.224 X2 + 0.646 X3 + μ showed that, based on empirical facts (results of filling out questionnaires) and multiple linear regression results showed that the human error variable (X1) had a calculated t of 3.040 and a t table of 1.983 then received H1 and significant, machine (X2) has t count -2.170 and t table 1.983 then H2 is accepted and significant, natural conditions have t count 6.923 and t table 1.983 then H3 is called and significant. In the R squer determination test, an Adjust R squer value of 0.554 means that 55.4% of the variable variance associated with idle time factors can be explained by independent variables of human, machine, and natural conditions. While the remaining 44.6% is explained by other causes outside the variables studied or can be called μ "miu". Keywords: Ship Unproductive Time (idle time), Human Error, Machines, Natural Conditions
