Abstract

Crew performance is influenced by various factors including training, characteristics and compensation. All four have an important role in influencing the performance of the crew. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of training, characteristics and partial compensation on the performance of the crew on the MV. LIMA VALERIE. The sample in this study were 18 respondents who were all crew of the MV. LIMA VALERIE using a saturated sample. The analysis technique used is Multiple Linear Regression. Data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis. Through the method of observation, literature study and questionnaires. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression with the help of the SPSS v.26 program. based on the results of research and multiple linear regression analysis, the equation is: Y= -0.348+ 0.595.X1 + 0.584.X2 - 0.164.X3 + µ Where the results of the regression analysis and t test show that the training variable (X1) has a positive and significant effect on the performance of the crew (Y), the characteristic variable (X2) has a positive and significant effect on the performance of the crew (Y), and the compensation variable (X3) has a negative and insignificant effect on the performance of the crew (Y). the results of the coefficient of determination (R2 = 0.758) which means 75.8%, the variable coefficient of training, characteristics and compensation on the performance of the crew is 75.8% while the rest (100% - 75.8% = 24.2%) is influenced by other variables outside the study.
