Abstract
The safety of shipping is very central in all aspects of the world of shipping and the needs of all parties. Shipwrecks are still vulnerable to occur every year, because of the lack of an optimal shipping safety system. Waivers over cruise safety tend to increase economic and environmental costs such as reduced productivity, medical costs, pollution, environmental pollution, and inefficient energy use. This study aims to determine the effect of ISM Code Implementation, Shipping Navigation Implementation, Master's Responsibility, and Shipping Crew partially on the Safety of Shipping. The population in this study is the shipping crew in Gresik Port with a research sample of 100 respondents. The sampling technique used is non- probability sampling with the type of sampling, namely quota sampling. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, then the data is analyzed using multiple linear regression. Based on the research results, it can be seen that the research model of the multiple linear regression equation is: Y = -1,480 + 0,293X1 + 0,314X2 + 0,187X3 + 0,311X4 + μ. From the regression equation, it can be seen that the most dominant variable affecting shipping safety is the Shipping Navigation Implementation (X2) variable with a regression coefficient of 0.314 and the R Square test obtained a result of 0.685 or 68,5%. This shows that the Shipping Safety in Gresik Port is influenced by the variables of ISM Code Implementation, Shipping Navigation Implementation, Master's Responsibility and Shipping Crew by 68,5%.
