Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not the influence of the variables overloading, overdimensional, and road conditions had on the accident rate on the Solo – Semarang road, especially in the Ampel area, Boyolali Regency. The population used in this study were transport car drivers crossing the Solo – Semarang road, especially the Ampel area of Boyolali Regency and the sample used in this study totaled 96 respondents, using a non-probability sampling technique, namely the sampling used was Incidental Sampling based on coincidence. , that is, anyone who meets the researcher by chance can be used as a sample, if it is deemed that the person met by chance fits the following data sources: Freight cars, Passed Jalan Ampel at least 2 times, and Freight car users aged 18-56 years. Data analysis used in this study was descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of (software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) version 25. Based on the results of the research it can be seen that the research model of the linear regression equation double is Y= -1.023 + 0.453.X1 + 0.302.X2 + 0.311.X3 µ. The results of the research by testing the hypothesis t-test partially show that the variables overloading, over-dimension and road conditions have a positive and significant effect on the accident rate. From the results of this study there is a relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable, testing the hypothesis using the t test shows that the four independent variables are the overloading variable of 0.453 (X1), the overdimensional variable of 0.302 (X2), and the road condition variable of 0.311 (X3). From the regression equation it can be seen that the most dominant variable affecting operational performance is the overloading variable with a regression coefficient of 0.453. And the determinant coefficient test (R Square) yields a result of 0.565 or 56.5%, which means that the accident rate is influenced by the variables overloading, overdimensional and road conditions which are 56.5% and other factors that affect the accident rate are 43.5% or 0.435. Keywords: Overloading, Overdimension, Road Conditions, and Accident Rate
