Abstract

Jalan Singaparna, Tasikmalaya Regency, is a road that is congested with vehicles, which results in traffic accidents on Jalan Singaparna. Traffic accidents on Jalan Singaparna are caused by several factors, one of which is the vehicle factor. Vehicle factors can be caused by a braking system that doesn't work properly which can make the brakes fail. Data analysis used in this study was descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, data were analyzed using multiple linear analysis using the Application (SPSS Version 26). The results of the t-test hypothesis testing show that Supervision Effectiveness, Driver Vigilance have a positive and partially significant effect on traffic safety. The results of the t-test hypothesis testing show that Road Geometric and Road Conditions do not have a positive effect on Traffic Safety. Based on the research results it is known that the research model of the multiple linear regression equation produces an equation The results of the equation show that the road geometric variable (X1) has (t count 4.014 > t table 1.98525), the Monitoring Effectiveness variable (X2) has (t count 2.820 > t table 1.98525), the Road Condition variable (X3) has (t count 3.589 > t table 1.98525) and the Driver Vigilance variable (X4) has (t count 3.208 > t table 1.98525). As for the value of Adjusted R2 = 0.792. This means that 79.2% of the variation in the dependent variable (Y) namely Traffic Safety is explained by the independent variables namely Road Geometric (X1), Monitoring Effectiveness (X2), Road Conditions (X3) and Driver Vigilance (X4). The remaining 100% - 79.2% = 20.8%, is influenced by other variables outside the research. Based on the results of research and processing of data obtained from distributing questionnaires, the results of statistical tests with multiple linear regression equations obtained that partially the variables X2 and X4 have a positive and significant influence, variables X1 and X2 have no positive and significant effect. Keywords: Road Geometric, Monitoring Effectiveness, Road Conditions, Vigilance of Drivers and Traffic Safety
