Abstract
Traffic Accidents are events that are difficult to predict when and whare they will occur. And unitentionnally involving vehicles with or without other road users resulting in human casualties and/or property loss. With good road planning, it is hoped that it can provide better driving safety, smaller misjudgments, no vehicle concentration at one time or no misperceptions on the road, and thus avoid accidents. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the occurrence of traffic accidents on the Kudus-Pati road section, with a sample of 99 respondents. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with quota sampling. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The formulation of the regression in this study is as follows ; Y = 0,492 +0,177X1+0,195X2+0,559X3+µ The results of the multiple linear regression study show that the human error factor is tcount (1.991) > t table (1.7316), the condition of the vihecle on driving safety is tcount (2.273) > t table (1.7316), the road condition factor on traffic accidents is tcount (5.254) > t table (1.7316). The influence of the three research variables is very srong whith a correlation coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square = 0.404) which means 59.6% variable coefficient of human error factor ,vehicle condition factor influences traffic accidents, while the rest is 40.4%, influenced by variables outside this study. In connection with the human error factor, it is hoped that motorists will always improve driving safety . The condition of the vehicle is expected for the driver to always pay attention and check the vehicle before driving. The road condition factor is expected the road condition drivers will be more careful when driving and have an awareness of the importance of obeying all traffic signs. For future researchers, please add other variable because there are still many variable that affect traffic accidents on the Kudus-Pati road apart from the variable I took.
