Abstract

Container depot is one of supply chain link that its existance is very important for completing supply chain from producer till consument running so well. If the activity od receiving and delivery get trouble, so it will cause toward the delay of loading and unloading activity. The smoothness of receiving and delivery container activity process is main factor that must be noticed in the service. So to smooth service process, there will be procedure that must be done in every single of step in order that minimize troubles in the field. The purpose of this final assignment for 1) to know the receiving and delivery procedure and process that is held by depot 4 PT. Berkah Multi Cargo Logistic surbaya. 2)to know what are the documents that is needed in the receiving and delivery container process that is held by depot 4 PT. Berkah Multi Cargo Logistic Surabaya. 3) to know the troubles and solutions which is happened in the receiving and delivery process in the depot 4 PT. Berkah Multi Cargo Logistic Surabaya. The method that is used in thihs method and observation into the field where it is done by collecting observation data method, interview, and documentation. In the result of this research, those are: 1) the important of knowing ready container process either time before arrival or input data containers. 2) some documents are also very needed in it, to know the complete identity, such as: invoice, packing list, export service note (NPE), and etc. 3) the heavy equipment that support its activity on which sometimes it does not run well. With the result of that a traffic jam occur. Communication between depot crew to avoid miscommunication. Keyword : Procedure, Receiving, Delivery
