Abstract

ABSTRACT Indonesia is an archipelagic country that cannot be separated from transportation infrastructure, namely ports. In the port environment there are many activities that support the function and role of the port, including loading and unloading work activities. Loading and unloading activities with high operations pose various risks to the safety of loading and unloading workers. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of Worker Health, Loading and Unloading Process and Personal Protective Equipment on the Safety of Loading and Unloading Workers at the Port of Tanjung Perak Surabaya. The research population was taken from loading and unloading workers at the Port of Tanjung Perak Surabaya and the sample in this study was 100 respondents. The sampling technique uses probability sampling with the type of sampling that is Simple Random Sampling. The method of analysis in this study was descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, then the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of the Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) software.Y = 0,974 + 0,301.X1 + 0,250.X2 + 0,303.X3 + µ The results of the multiple linear regression equation show that the Worker's Health Variable (X1) has a tcount of 4.681 and a ttable of 1.98472, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The loading and unloading procedure variable (X2) has a tcount of 3.463 and a ttable of 1.98472, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The personal protective equipment variable (X3) has a tcount of 5.163 and a ttable of 1.98472, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Keywords: Worker Health, Loading and Unloading Procedures, Personal Protective Equipment and TKBM Safety.
