Abstract
Along with the development of science and technology, also developed sophisticated tools that can help us in understanding these developments. Therefore, a tool or system is made which ultimately gives birth to the latest technology that is able to fulfill all human needs for direction, area, speed, and position which is called electronic navigation tool technology. How important it is ti pay attention to the use of electronic navigation devices on board which are very influential in sailing. Besides that, it also plays a role in the quality of Human Resources (HR) so that it can be used as a reference for ship crews, especially prospective officers, to find out how important it is to overcome the electronic navigation tool when there is an error in determining vessel position. Error is incorrect, software error, or damage to hardware. With this error occurring, the execution of the order is not as expected. In some cases if an error occurs, then the command being worked on is stopped because it cannot continue. The data collection method carried out by the author in this scientific paper uses observation methods that explain the cause and effect of an event, as well as describe the entire process from the beginning of the event to the impact of the event.
