Abstract
The port which has a large capacity to support industrialization is expected to support the accelerated development program in Lampung Province. The importance of the existence of Panjang Port is shown in the performance of Panjang Port Container Terminal which has increased from year to year. In response to the growth of container loading and unloading, the Container Terminal is improving its port services by adding loading and unloading equipment. However, this activity does not escape the name damage to equipment and even work accidents during the loading and unloading process, this occurs due to a lack of routine maintenance of loading and unloading equipment and inadequate labor or lack of special skills / certificates of expertise in the operation of loading and unloading tools. load it. This writing has the aim of knowing the container loading and unloading tools and personal protective equipment used in optimizing work safety in the loading and unloading process of containers at Panjang port, the requirements that workers must have and apply in optimizing the safety of loading and unloading containers at Panjang port. , actions taken by supervisors in overcoming the danger of accidents during the loading and unloading process of containers, the role of Panjang port in optimizing the safety of loading and unloading containers, to obtain the above data, observations are made at the container terminal at Panjang port, namely direct observation, direct checking of loading and unloading equipment. , as well as documenting the results of these in-person reviews. Not only that, the writing of scientific papers is also taken from literature studies such as books, websites and government publications. The result of this research is that if there is damage or mismatch of labor, it is necessary to immediately make repairs and even replace the tools, even workers who do not meet work standards, so that there will be no more problems in the loading and unloading process of the container in terms of tools and labor. It can be concluded that the Long Port Party plays a role in the safety of loading and unloading of containers as well as supervising activities that occur at the port and ensuring that the tools used for the loading and unloading process are fit for use or in good condition, and when checking or monitoring always make check list in order to know what needs to be repaired or equipped by the company to maximize work in the port.
