Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of consumer trust, passenger characteristics and ticket prices on purchasing decisions on electric rail trains (commuter line). The population in this study were passengers of the electric railroad from Jakarta to Bogor. Sampling in this study using non probability sampling techniques, and using the method of accidental sampling type. The analysis used in this research includes validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing which includes the t test and the coefficient of determination (R2). The results of the multiple regression analysis that have been carried out are: Y = 3,092+ 0,433 X1 + 0,199 X2 + 0, 194 X3 + μ This means that all independent variables, namely consumer confidence, passenger characteristics and ticket prices have a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable, namely the purchase decision. The variable that has the greatest influence is consumer confidence (0.433), followed by passenger characteristics (0.199), and finally the ticket price variable (0.194). And the coefficient of determination (adjusted R2) obtained is (0.525). This means that 52.5% of purchasing decisions are influenced by variables of consumer confidence, passenger characteristics, and ticket prices. While the remaining 47.5% is influenced by other variables that are not explained in this study. Keywords: consumer trust, passenger characteristics, ticket prices and purchase decisions.
