Abstract
ABSTRACT Ship safety is the condition of the ship that meets the material requirements, construction, building, machinery and electricity, stability, arrangement and equipment including auxiliary equipment and ship radio electronics, as evidenced by a certificate after inspection and testing. Therefore, it is necessary to increase ship safety at the Cilacap Ocean Fishing Port. However, ship safety is not always in accordance with the targets that have been determined every year. Therefore, it is necessary to measure the safety of ships related to the role of porters, ship's seaworthiness, ship's crew, and navigational aids. This research was carried out with the aim of knowing the effect of the role of porters, ship's seaworthiness, ship crews, and navigational aids on ship safety at the Cilacap Ocean Fishing Port. This study also aims to analyze the factors that have the most dominant influence on ship safety at the Cilacap Ocean Fishing Port. This research was conducted by using the questionnaire ship crew method as many as 90 respondents. The analysis technique in this study uses multiple linear regression analysis. The regression formulation in this study is as follows : Y = -1,410+ 0,291.X1 + 0,225.X2 + 0,318.X3 + 0,317.X4 + µ From the equation results show that the port porter's role variable (X1) has (t count 3.756 > t table 1.9872), the variable Seaworthiness of the Ship (X2) has (t count 2.974 > t table 1.9872), the variable Crew (X3) has (t count 4,360 > t table 1,9872) and the variable Navigation Aids (X4) has (t count 5,068 > t table). As for the value of Adjusted R2 = 0.650. This means that 65% of the variation in the dependent variable (Y), namely Ship Safety is explained by the independent variables, namely the role of porters, ship's seaworthiness, ship crew, and navigation aids. The remaining 100% - 65% = 35%, influenced by other variables outside the study. Key Words : Ship Safety, Port Authority's Role, Ship's Seaworthiness, Ship's Crew, Navigation Aids Facilities.
