Abstract

Abstract With an increase in the flow of goods and services through trade activities by sea, the existence of a loading and unloading company (PBM) has a very large role, as an international gateway for export and import goods from one country to another. The purpose of loading and unloading optimization is to make all loading and unloading procedures efficient. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview and document study so that it can be analyzed and conclusions drawn. The results of observations made at the Port of Tanjung Emas in Semarang, the authors convey that the loading and unloading activities by PT. Rimo Transport Expressindo has complied with the applicable regulations. Preparations in accordance with procedures such as documents prior to loading and unloading activities, provision of loading and unloading equipment, loading and unloading workers, and carrying out loading and unloading activities according to loading and unloading procedures and can overcome obstacles that may occur during loading and unloading activities. The author concludes that PT. Rimo Transport Exoressindo in preparing, implementing and dealing with obstacles is in accordance with procedures.
