Abstract

Abstracs The main topic of discussion in this paper is regarding the role of the freight forwarder in the export of goods. There are several background problems that the author must solve, namely regarding freight forwarders, export activities, and the flow of goods delivery. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out more about the role of PT. Karisma Global Logistindo as a Freight Forwarder company, especially in the export of goods by sea transportation. For data sources used by the author using primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through direct interviews with the Freight Forwarder in the export section. While secondary data obtained through books and other sources. Data collection methods used are observation, documentation, interviews, and literature study. The results of the discussion of this paper is that it can be concluded that the role of PT Karisma Global Logistindo is very important, namely assisting exporters in carrying out their export activities, or also as a representative of the shipper as well as a liaison party between the shipper and the consignee. PT Karisma Global Logistindo assists exporters in shipping goods, which plays an important role in cargo consolidation, in transportation, in documentation, in packing, and in the role of insurance. At PT Karisma Global Logistindo, especially the Sea Freight section for shipping or shipping, namely by issuing export documents in the form of a Bill of Lading.
