Abstract

ABSTRACT Performance is the result of a process of combining individual capabilities with individual attitudes towards aspects of work and organization. The obstacles that often occur at Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya on employee performance are a low level of performance satisfaction with the company, because the role of employees is very vital in company operations, poor communication, conflicts between superiors and subordinates and between employees, decreased productivity, and lack of work discipline. Therefore it is necessary to measure the level of performance of loading and unloading employees related to individual characteristics, communication and work environment. With In this study the aim is to determine the analysis of the factors that influence the performance of loading and unloading employees at the North Jamrud Terminal of Tanjung Perak Port, Surabaya. In this study, the object taken was loading and unloading employees at the Port of Tanjung Perak, Surabaya. Data sources include primary and secondary data. The sample in this study were 100 respondents who use loading and unloading services at Tanjung Perak Port, Surabaya. Data collection was carried out by Observation Methods, Literature Studies, Interviews, Documentation, and Questionnaires. The data analysis technique is multiple linear regression technique by first testing it through a questionnaire test (validity and reliability) and classical assumption test (autocorrelation, heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity, normality).The results of the analysis with the statistical tool SPSS V.26 program obtained multiple linear regression equations: Y = 0,974 + 0,301.X1 + 0,250.X2 + 0,303.X3 + µ The results of the multiple linear regression equation show that the Individual Characteristics Variable (X1) has a tcount of 4.681 and a ttable of 1.99601, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The Communication Variable (X2) has a tcount of 3.463 and a ttable of 1.99601, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The Work Environment Variable (X3) has a tcount of 5.163 and a ttable of 1.99601, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.
