Abstract

ABSTRACT Motorized Vehicle Testing (PKB) is a field within the Department of Transportation which is engaged in transportation and road safety under the auspices of the Ministry of Transportation. Motor vehicle testing aims to test passenger and goods vehicles in order to create roadworthy vehicles. Driving safety is a top priority, with road-worthy vehicles the failure rate of vehicles in testing motor vehicle eligibility is reduced and driving safety improves. This study aims to see the effect of vehicle test equipment infrastructure, driver awareness, vehicle condition, partially on vehicle failure in the implementation of motorized vehicle testing. The population in this study were drivers who carried out a motor vehicle adequacy test at the Salatiga City Transportation Service in July 2023 as many as 100 respondents. The sampling technique was non-probability sampling, the type of sampling was quota sampling. The analysis technique in this study uses multiple linear regression analysis. The formulation of the regression in this study is as follows: Y = 0,252 + 0,176X1 + 0,194X2 + 0,579X3 + µ The results of the multiple linear regression equation show that there is a positive and significant effect partially between the facilities and infrastructure of the vehicle test equipment on vehicle failure (t count = 2.052 > t table = 1.98498), driver awareness of vehicle failure (t count = 2.339 > t table = 1.98498), vehicle condition on vehicle failure (t count = 5.826 > t table = 1.98498). While the results of the significant equation test (F test) obtained a value (F count = 53.830 > F table = 3.09) and the influence of the three research variables is very strong as evidenced by testing the coefficient of determination (R2 test) with an Adjusted R Square value = 0.616 (61.6%).
