Abstract

ABSTRACT The author's background in conducting this research is contrary to the problems encountered at the research location, namely illegal parking on the Pasar Banjaran-Adiwerna T-junction, Tegal Regency, which is a traffic jam problem that disrupts traffic flow and becomes an disorderly road. The research that the writer is doing here is quantitative research, namely data in the form of numbers or numbers that can be processed or analyzed using mathematical calculations or statistics. In this study I used research, namely the distribution of questionnaires to parking attendants on Jalan T-junction Pasar Banjaran-Adiwerna, Tegal Regency. In collecting dating required by the author using questionnaires, interviews, literature studies and documentation. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze road narrowing, human factors, and traffic volume on traffic jams on the Pasar Banjaran-Adiwerna T-junction road, Tegal Regency. taken using the Simple Incidental technique and using Nonprobability Sampling. Analysis Using SPSS V.25 which includes validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing through t test, and analysis of the coefficient of determination (R2). From this analysis, the regression equation is obtained: Y = 3,863 + 0,102.X1 + 0,292.X2 + 0,326.X3 + µ Traffic volume shows the greatest regression coefficient. Traffic volume is the most important factor affecting traffic congestion, the second important factor is the human factor, the third factor is road narrowing which affects traffic congestion. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R2) is 0.629 or 62.9%, meaning that the model of the coefficient of determination is quite good. The three independent variables in this study can explain the role or contribution of 62.9% together which can explain the dependent variable, namely variable traffic jams while the remaining 37.1% is explained by other variables outside of the three variables used in the study. Keywords: road narrowing, human factor, traffic volume and traffic congestion
