Abstract

Along with the rapid development of transportation, many modes of transportation systems are used to distribute goods. Loading and unloading activities that uphold high operational functions and roles, which cause various risks to the health and safety of workers. To reduce the risk of work accidents, things that can be done by loading and unloading workers at PT. Samudera Indonesia, namely by understanding the importance of worker health, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), worker behavior, and the work environment. The population of this study was taken from PT. Samudera Indonesia with a total of 100 people then the study used the slovin formula with an error tolerance of 5% so that the sample in this study was 80 respondents. The sampling technique in using non-probability sampling with the type of sampling is simple random sampling. The method of analysis in this study is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, then the data is analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of (Software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS). The results of the hypothesis test show that the variables occupational health, use of PPE, worker behavior, and work Environment have a partial positive and significant effect on the Safety of Loading and unloading workers at PT. Indonesian Ocean. The results of multiple linear regression analysis were obtained Y= -1.176 + 0.334X1 + 0.181X2 + 0.318X3 + 0.302X4 + µ. From the equation it is known that the dominant variable affecting the Safety of Loading and Unloading Workers is the Worker's Health variable with a regression coefficient of 0.334. The R2 test (R square) obtained a result of (67,6%) which means the safety of loading and unloading workers at PT. Samudera Indonesia is influenced by the variables of worker's health, use of PPE, worker's behavior, and work environment which is equal to 67,6%. While the remaining (100% - 67.6% = 32.4%) is influenced by other variables outside of this study. Keywords: Worker Health, Use of PPE, Worker Behavior, and Safety of Loading and Unloading Workers, Work Environmen
