Abstract
Abstract A battery is an electric cell in which a reversible electrochemical process takes place with high efficiency. Battery serves as a tool to turn on electrical energy to the starting system, ignition system and other electrical components, with the process of chemical energy into electric power, and vice versa from electric power into chemical energy. That way the maintenance of the battery is very important and must be considered. battery charging system, and how to apply batteries in series and parallel. With the maintenance carried out on the battery, the emergency generator can work optimally. The purpose of this observation or observation is to determine the cause of damage to the battery. Periodic maintenance on batteries aimed at supporting the performance of the emergency generator at the Loji Solo Hotel. These are the objectives of writing this paper. In this paper, the method of data collection in this paper uses the method of observation or observation. Interview method, documentation method and literature study. In battery maintenance must be done regularly and thoroughly. When the electrolyte is reduced and the battery terminals are loose, this can result in a decrease in battery power. So this must be considered properly and correctly. As well as the occurrence of overcharge on the battery causes the battery to expand and can explode. Care must be considered properly and correctly.
