Abstract

In this study, four research variables were analyzed, namely vehicle volume, road performance, side barriers and shopping centers. With traffic congestion as the dependent variable. The formulation of the problem, the purpose of the researchers and the hypotheses in this study were to analyze the positive and significant influence individually between the independent variables, namely: vehicle volume, road performance, side barriers and shopping centers on the dependent variable, namely traffic jams. In this study, the object taken was the community of road drivers on the K.H Zaenal Mustofa road, Tasikmalaya City. The data analysis technique is a multiple linear regression technique. Based on the research results and data analysis, the regression equation is produced: Y = 0.498 +0.102X1+0.027X2 + 0.182X3 + 0.676X4 + µ The test results for the variable vehicle volume (X1) show that t count (2.061) < t table (1.66088) which means that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. Vehicle volume has a positive and significant effect on traffic jams. The Road Segment Performance Variable (X2) shows that t count (0.313) < t table (1.66088) which means that Ho is accepted and H2 is rejected, meaning that traffic volume has a positive and insignificant effect on traffic jams. Side barriers (X3) against traffic jams (Y). The test results for the side friction variable (X3) show that t count (2.845) > t table (1.66088) which means that Ho is rejected and H3 is accepted, meaning that the side barriers have a positive and significant effect on traffic jams. The shopping center variable (X4) shows that t count (6.662) > t table (1.66088) which means Ho is rejected and H4 is accepted, meaning that shopping centers have a positive and significant effect on traffic congestion. Keywords: Vehicle volume, road performance, side barriers, shopping centers, traffic jams.
