Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of comfort, facilities, fares, and timeliness on the number of passengers on the Argo Muria train, Semarang-Jakarta route. The population in this study is the number of passengers on the Sembrani train. Sampling in this study uses non-probability sampling technique, and uses the type of accidental sampling method, the analysis used in this study includes validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear analysis, and hypothesis testing which includes t test, and coefficient of determination. (R2), the results of the multiple regression analysis that have been carried out obtained the results, namely: Y = -0.571 + 0.161X1 + 0.335X2 + 0.245X3 +0.308+ This means that the independent variables, namely convenience, facilities, fares, and timeliness have a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable, namely the number of passengers on the Argo Muria train, while the timeliness variable has no effect on the number of passengers. The variable that has the greatest influence is (0.335), followed by the perception of punctuality (0.308) and the tariff variable (0.245). And the coefficient of determination (adjusted R2) obtained is (0.812). This means that 81.2% of the number of passengers is influenced by the variables of comfort, facilities, and fares. While the remaining 18.8% is influenced by other variables that are not explained by the variables of this study. Keywords: Comfort, Facilities, Fares, Punctuality, and Number of Passengers
