Abstract
ABSTRACT Indonesia is the largest maritime country in the world, 2/3 of Indonesia's territory is an ocean area. One of the means of sea transportation is sea transportation in the form of a ship which is a very vital means of transportation for transporting passengers, goods and vehicles. This study aims to determine the effect of crew resources, the role of the captain, and partial safety handling on the safety of passengers. The population in this study was taken from KMC passengers. Express Bahari 3F for the March 2023 period at the Port of Jepara - Karimun and the sample used in this study was 160 respondents. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with the type of sampling, namely Incidental Sampling. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, then the data is analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of (software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS). The results of the hypothesis test show that the variables of Crew Resources, Ship Eligibility, and Safety Handling have a partial effect on Passenger Safety. The results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained Y= -1.155 + 0.435X1 + 0.275X2 + 0.382X3+µ. From this equation, it is known that the most dominant variable affecting Passenger Safety is the Ship Eligibility variable with a regression coefficient of 0.435. The R2 (R square) test obtained results of 0.549 or 54.9% which means that Passenger Safety is influenced by the variables of Crew Resources, Ship Eligibility, and Safety Handling which is 54.9% and other factors that affect Passenger Safety are 45. ,1%.
