Abstract

ABSTRACT Shipping safety is a condition of fulfilling ship safety and security requirements concerning transportation in waters, ports and the maritime environment. East Nusa Tenggara Province is an Archipelagic Province, so the existence of sea transportation is very strategic in terms of accessibility from/to areas/areas in East Nusa Tenggara. This study aims to determine the effect of Crew Resources, Ship Safety Equipment, Weather and Ship Load on Shipping Safety at the Bolok Crossing Port Service Unit. The population in this study were passengers on the KMP LAKAAN ship and the sample used in this study was 100 respondents. The sampling technique used was purposive non-probability sampling, then the data was analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of (software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) Version 26. The formulation of the regression in this study is as follows: Y = 0,837 + 0,278X1 + 0,2232X2 + 0,298X3 + 0,249X4 + µ From this equation it is known that the variable that most dominantly influences shipping safety is the weather variable with a regression coefficient of 0.298. The R2 test (R Square) obtained a result of 0.562 or 56.2% which means that Sailing Safety is influenced by the variables of Ship Crew Resources, Ship Safety Equipment, and Weather which is 56.2%. Keyword: shipping safety crew resources, ship safety equipment, weather, ship cargo
