Abstract
ABSTRACT container loading and unloading activities at PT. Pelindo (Persero) Terminal Petikemas Semarang shows a decrease in loading and unloading flows. The smooth loading and unloading of containers at PT. Pelindo (Persero) Terminal Petikemas Semarang seen from the last 2 years has not experienced an increase. With the decline in the relatively high flow of containers, the condition of existing facilities, infrastructure and operating systems needs to be reviewed whether the operation is optimal or performance is still possible, or it is time to add infrastructure and facilities to anticipate transport demand in the future. will come. The smooth loading and unloading aims to improve good service in the activities and services of container loading and unloading processes according to operational standards. There are several factors that cause the smooth loading and unloading of containers such as those related to the condition of loading and unloading equipment, operations and operator performance. In this study, three research variables will be analyzed, namely loading and unloading equipment, operations and operator performance as independent variables and the smoothness of loading and unloading as the dependent variable. The purpose of this study was to analyze whether the positive influence individually between the independent variables of loading and unloading equipment, operations and operator performance on the dependent variable, namely the smoothness of loading and unloading. In this study, the objects taken were operational employees at the Terminal Petikemas Semarang. Sources of data include primary data and secondary data. The sample in this study were 80 respondents. The data analysis technique is a multiple linear regression technique. Based on the results of research and multiple analysis, the equation is: Y= 1,112 + 0,432 X1 + 0,297 X2 + 0,164 X3 + μ From the regression equation, it can be seen that the most dominant variable affecting the smooth loading and unloading is the variable Loading and Unloading Equipment (X1) with a regression coefficient of 0.432 and the R Square test obtained a result of 0.587 or 58.7%. This shows that the Smooth Loading and Unloading at PT. Pelindo (Persero) Semarang Container Terminal is influenced by the variables of Loading and Unloading Equipment, Operations and Operator Performance, namely 58.7%.
