Abstract

Ship Agency Company Performance is one aspect of the assessment used by companies as a reference to measure how effective a company, especially shipping agents, is in carrying out their duties in the field and in the office. This is very important considering that the shipping agent's work environment is in the port or wharf area which is the object of landing for domestic and international ships. There are many factors, facilities and infrastructure as well as natural geographical conditions that support the operational activities of shipping agents while at the port, it is very possible that some of these factors will reduce the performance of shipping agents so that the services provide d are not optimal. In this study, ship agency company performance is influenced by several factors including: Waiting Time Perception, Loading and Unloading Productivity, Document Handling and Human Resources. From these factors have an important role in improving ship agency company performance. The population in this study were employees of 27 agency companies with a total sample of 81 respondents. Data analysis used in this study was descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis using Application (SPSS) Version 25. The results of testing the hypothesis t-test showed that Waiting Time Perception, Loading and Unloading Productivity, Document Handling and Resources Humans have a positive and significant partial effect on ship agency company performance. Based on the research results it is known that the research model of the multiple linear regression equation results in the equation: Y = 1,111 + 0,322X1 + 0,190X2 + 0,124X3 + 0,267X4 + µ The results of the equation show that the Waiting Time Perception variable (X1) has (t count 3.152 > t table 1.984), the Loading and Unloading Productivity variable (X2) has (t count 2.718 > t table 1.984), the Document Handling variable (X3) has (t count 2.321 > t table 1.984) and the Human Resources variable (X4) has (t count 2.754 > t table 1.984). As for the value of Adjusted R2 = 0.370. This means that 37% of the variation in the dependent variable (Y), namely ship agency company performance, is explained by the independent variables, namely waiting time perception (X1), loading and unloading productivity (X2), document handling (X3) and human resources (X4). The remaining 100% - 37% = 63%, is influenced by other variables outside the research. Keywords : Ship Agency Company Performance, Waiting Time Perception, Loading And Unloading Productivity, Document Handling and Human Resources.
