Abstract

ABSTRAK In this study Traffic Accidents are influenced by several factors including: Driving Skills, Driver Psychology and Population Density. The population in this study were four-wheeled vehicle drivers with a total of 100 respondents. Data analysis used in this study was descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis using the Application (SPSS) Version 22. The results of the t-test hypothesis testing showed that Driving Skills, Driver Psychology and Population Density had a positive and significant effect partially to Traffic Accidents. Based on the results of the study it is known that the research model of the multiple linear regression equation results in the equation: = -1.389 + 0.375 + 0.193 + 0.570 + µ The results of the equation of multiple linear regression results show that there is a positive and significant effect partially between Driving Skills (X1) on Traffic Accidents (Y) (t count = 4.305 > t table = 1.98472), Driver Psychology (X2) on Accidents Traffic (Y) (t count = 2.523> t table = 1.98472), Population Density (X3) to Traffic Accidents (Y) (t count = 6.388 > t table = 1.98472), while the coefficient of determination gets a value Adjusted R square of 0.772 thus 77.2% of the variation of the dependent variable Traffic Accidents can be explained by variations of the three independent variables namely Driving Skills, Driver Psychology, Population Density while the remainder is (100% -77.2% = 22, 8%) is influenced by other variables outside of this study. Keywords : Driving Skills, Driver Psychology, Population Density and Traffic Accidents
