Abstract
Management of ship safety certificate extension is an activity handled by shipping company operations. The background of the problem in writing this paper is the process of obtaining a construction safety certificate for the Tugboat Virgo Power 01 and Virgo Sejati 237 barge by PT. The Faithful Ark at the Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang. The purpose of this paper is to find out how the process of obtaining a ship certificate extension has expired or has expired. In the process of collecting data to show this paper, the author uses several methods, including interviews, observation and document studies. The result of this paper is to find out how the process of managing the extension of the construction safety certificate for the Tugboat Virgo Power 01 and Virgo Sejati 237 barge by PT. Bahtera Setia at the Port of Tanjung Emas Semarang, the documents needed for processing the extension of the ship's certificate and what factors hinder the process of processing the extension of the ship's certificate. The conclusion of this paper is that the author gains knowledge and insight regarding the process of managing an extension of a ship's certificate that has expired or has expired.
