Abstract

The port is a means of activity where government activities and economic activities take place, such as a place for ships to lean on or dock, boarding and unloading passengers and loading and unloading of goods. One of the activities that is often carried out at the wharf or port is the loading and unloading of goods or what is known as the Export-Import activity. In this case, export and import activities in Indonesia are increasing rapidly and are widely used by service users, one of which is the activity of stripping cargo at the Container Terminal. Cargo stripping activities are activities that take place in the Container Terminal stacking yard, in this case, the process of removing goods from containers with the help of a forklift to put them in a warehouse known as the Container Freight Station (CFS) warehouse. It should be noted that in an ongoing activity, of course, various forms of problems and obstacles are found, therefore it is necessary to improve services to expedite these activities. Therefore, the research method used to write this scientific paper is descriptive with data collection using the observation method (Observation), the questioner method (Questioner), the interview method (Interview), the documentary method and the library (library search), so that it is processed in The results of this paper draw several conclusions, namely: What services are provided by PT. Pelindo Container Terminal in cargo stripping activities, what documents are needed in stripping activities, what parties are involved and what obstacles often occur.
