Abstract
The fuel system is said to be stable when the power generated for each step reaches a standardized average value. The power given depends on the combustion system. If combustion is good, it will produce great power, and vice versa. On board it is very necessary to maintain the quality and quantity of the fuel on board and of course to ensure that the ship is always in a safe condition. The author collects data from existing documents, so that the author can obtain notes related to writing such as an overview of the KNP.378 patrol boat, belonging to the Tanjung Perak Surabaya Main Harbormaster Office, notes, photographs and so on. This documentation method is carried out to obtain data that has not been obtained through the observation method or interview method. The function of the fuel system is to carry out inspection, cleaning or repair activities for each component with regular and periodic operating hours in order to anticipate leaks in the fuel system. In order for the operation of the fuel system to work perfectly, maintenance of the fuel system in the main drive diesel engine must be carried out thoroughly and beforehand it is necessary to know the characteristics of the types of fuel oil used.
