Abstract
Transport has an important role in the realization of the archipelago insight and is able to strengthen National defense and very important role in terms io the mobility of society, in particular in the movement of goods and people. Urban transport is the main choicein inter-city transportation capable considered to the address community needs. However, the implementation faced many problems such as accidents. Still a haigh number of traffic accidents in Indonesia, but not balancedwith an awareness of importance of safety. Formulation of research objectives and hypotheses problem in this research is to analyze is there a positive influence both individually and simultaneously, between the independent variables are knowledge driver, driver behavior and driver’s experience on the dependent variable is the safety of passengers. in this study, the object is taken from a bus driver Po SAFARI majors Semarang – Solo. Samples are 50 respondents. Data analysis technique of multiple linear regression. The results of multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS ver 16, namely : Y = 1.549 + 0,239 + 0,358 + 0,269 + μ The result of multiple linear regression equation shows that there is a negative effect between the driver of the passenger safety knowledge ( t count = 1.635 < t table = 1.679, while for the other variables showed no positive effect and signifikan partially between the behavior of the driver against the safety of passengers (t count = 3.920 > t table 1.679 ), the experience of the driver against the safety of passenger (t count = 1.992 > t table 1.679).whereas together (simultaneously) positive and significant effect (F count = 10.668 > F table = 2.803). The third influence is very strong research variables with the value of R = 41.0 %. Simultaneously knowledge factor variables driver, driver behavior and driver’s experience affects 41.0 % of the safety of passengers and 59,0% are influenced by the variables that were not detected in this study.
