Abstract
ABSTRACT The main discussion in writing of this paper is about the role of the agency in handling the management of the extension of documents or certificates of the Self Propelled Oil Barge (SPOB) Canaya 717 Ship by PT. Barra Asean Shipping Semarang Branch. There are several background problems that the author must solve, namely the role and process of handling the management of ship document renewal, documents or certificates that must be included in document extension, related parties in handling document extensions and also obstacles faced in document extension activities for the Canaya 717 Self Propelled Oil Barge (SPOB) Ship. This study aims to determine the role of the agency in handling the management of document extension of the Canaya 717 Self Propelled Oil Barge (SPOB) Ship, obstacles and efforts to overcome obstacles in handling the extension of documents or certificates to support the smooth operation of the Canaya 717 Self Propelled Oil Barge (SPOB) Ship handled by PT. Barra Asean Shipping Semarang branch. The author uses observation, interview or interview methods, documentation and literature study. The analysis method used is descriptive, qualitative, which is a way of processing data obtained from oral and written research on the role of agents in managing the extension of Self Propelled Oil Barge (SPOB) Canaya 717 ship documents by PT.
